Comprehensive Smart System for Global Sustainability in the PPE Sector.

The objective of this project is to design and develop a smart, automated tool capable of defining sustainability policies and plans, quantifying the carbon footprint, assisting in the identification of actions to reduce it, and generating recommendations to promote circularity in production processes, regardless of the company’s starting point.

An innovative initiative that drives sustainability in the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) sector, resulting in a smart, automated tool capable of guiding companies in the development and implementation of sustainability plans, reducing their carbon footprint based on an initial calculation, and advancing toward a circular economy by proposing actions to reintroduce waste into the production process or by identifying the most appropriate methods for waste management—always ensuring the traceability of materials introduced into the process and the resulting products.

The project is led by EPISALUD, in a consortium with the AEI INNOVASTURIAS and the following companies: INERCO, Bízkares BiosolutionsS.L.Táctica TIC, DuPont, and Robusta.

This project has received funding from the Ministry of Industry, Trade, and Tourism as part of the program to support AEIs in order to help improve the competitiveness of Spanish industry, and is co-financed by the European Union (Recovery, Transformation, and Resilience Plan, Next Generation EU).
