Our EcoRobusta Philosophy
ECOROBUSTA Philosophy is the name we give to the ongoing process we implement to fulfill our commitment to the environment and the health of our employees in their workplace. To this end, we have implemented the EMAS (Eco-Management and Audit Scheme), the European Union’s Eco-Management and Audit Regulation—a tool developed by the European Union that recognizes organizations that have implemented an Environmental Management System and have committed to continuous improvement.
Circular Economy
We are committed to a circular economy, making the most of materials and resources so they remain in use for as long as possible, while minimizing waste through recycling.
Eco-design
We apply EcoDesign to optimize processes and reduce environmental impact throughout the product’s life cycle (UNE 14040 – UNE 150301), achieving a significant reduction in our carbon footprint through the Ministry for Ecological Transition’s “Calculate, Reduce, and Offset” program. We are certified to ISO 14001: the Environmental Management Systems standard.
Overall Objectives
All of our leather suppliers are certified by the “Leather Working Group,” an international organization that ensures environmental commitment and sustainable development. We collaborate with the Ecotextyle project to raise awareness in the footwear industry about sustainable manufacturing.
Innovation
ROBUSTA’s R&D&I department, in collaboration with the INESCOP Innovation and Technology Center and the La Rioja Footwear Technology Center (CTCR), develops innovative projects to improve our environmental processes.
